A wedding gown is not a dress you wear only once, but one you will wear every day for the rest of your life - in your memories and in your photographs. It has to be perfect. It has to be a Something Blue Bridal Gown.

The Something Blue Shoppe assigns a consultant to each and every bride. This consultant will take a few minutes to understand your personal style and the look you are trying to create for your special wedding day. If the gown that may suit you best is not on the floor but in a dressing room with another bride, your consultant will know and will seek those dresses out for you. On your own you could walk through the shop and not find what you are looking for and never realize it could be behind a closed door. We don’t want any bride to lose out on The Something Blue Shoppe experience. You are entitled to excellent service and we want to provide you with just that.

We offer a huge selection of gowns to choose from in size 2 to 26W. Bring your magazine pictures or internet pictures and allow our consultants to price those gowns for you, or choose an exclusive gown from the Envogue Bride or 2 Be Bride collections. We know you’ll be happy you did.

Appointments are not required, come at your own convenience.

Alterations
Alterations are by appointment only. Please contact Linda, at lindablueshop@bellsouth.net or phone her at 256.773,4956 to schedule your fitting appointment with our seamstress.

Appointments can only be scheduled after you have been notified that your gown/bridesmaid dress has arrived.

We recommend starting alterations no less than 4 – 6 weeks prior to your wedding date or the date of your formal portrait. Of course if you have less time, don’t worry. We are here to accommodate you and make this a most wonderful experience.

You may find the shoes you love in our Shoe corner. You will need shoes for your fittings. Shop early for the best selection!

We also sell undergarments. Our seamstress is the best qualified to fit you for the perfect undergarment for your gown at the time of your appointment with her. If you prefer to bring your own, please do so.

You usually only need 1 fitting to perfect the gown. An appointment is not necessary to try on your gown following alteration. You may come at your convenience anytime after your given completion date. It will not be pressed after alteration.

You should schedule an appointment with a consultant for the pressing of your gown and it should be picked up between the hours of 10:00 and 4:30 on the scheduled day.

Trunk Shows
To enhance your shopping experience further, at various times throughout the year we invite designers/representatives to join us in consulting with you one-on-one during a three day TRUNK SHOW EVENT in our bridal shop. During these TRUNK SHOWS you will have the opportunity of selecting from the designer's entire collection. Cake tasting is offered.

Have your picture taken with the designer/representative in the gown of your dreams at the trunk show. The designer or representative will be happy to autograph the photo for your wedding album. What a wonderful keepsake to take home that same day.

Photographs
The Something Blue Shoppe does not permit photography prior to the purchase of your gown. After you purchase your gown, you are welcome to take as many pictures as you like.

Lead Time for Order Processing
Typically, designers require three to six months to produce a special order wedding gown. Often arrangements can be made to fulfill your order in as little as six weeks, if required. Additional charges will apply. The Something Blue Shoppe is considered a Platinum Account by the manufacturers and designers we work with. We are as high a priority to them as you are to us. We will work hard for you. Never hesitate to give us a call and ask about rush orders. There are times when the exact dress you want will be on the current cutting schedule of a designer and they can easily add another dress on. We try to never say no. We prefer to say, "No Problem"!

Deposits
A fifty-percent deposit is required to begin the order process of your special order wedding gown. The remaining balance is due within thirty days of your merchandise arriving into our warehouse

Beautiful beginnings should be preserved for a lifetime. The heirloom process cleans and protects your Bridal Gown, keeping it secure for your daughters. . . or granddaughters. It's a simple way to make your gown a precious family keepsake for generations to come.
